School Timings Revised in Kashmir Division from April 1 – Check New Schedule
Srinagar: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has announced a revision in school timings across the Kashmir division. The new schedule will come into effect from April 1, 2026, and will apply to all government as well as recognized private schools in the region.
As per the official order issued on March 30, schools falling within the municipal limits of Srinagar will now operate from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Meanwhile, schools located outside Srinagar city, including other districts of Kashmir, will follow a slightly different schedule of 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Authorities have clearly directed all school heads and concerned officials to strictly adhere to the revised timings. The order emphasizes that no deviation from the prescribed schedule will be allowed under any circumstances.
The change in timings comes ahead of the new academic session and is aimed at ensuring smooth functioning of educational institutions across the Valley.
Students, parents, and school administrations are advised to take note of the updated schedule and plan their routines accordingly.
