Authorities Order School Closure in J&K District Due to Continuous Rainfall
Srinagar, April 4: In view of ongoing adverse weather conditions, authorities in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district have announced the closure of all schools for Saturday.
According to official information, the decision applies to both government and private educational institutions. The order was issued by the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri as a precautionary step to ensure the safety of students and staff.

The region has been witnessing continuous rainfall over the past few days, leading to difficult conditions in several areas. Reports indicate that roads have become slippery, while waterlogging has been observed in low-lying locations, causing inconvenience to commuters and residents.
In addition to rainfall, some higher-altitude areas have also experienced light snowfall, further impacting normal life and slowing down traffic movement in parts of the region.
Officials have urged parents, teachers, and the general public to remain cautious and follow safety advisories during the ongoing weather situation.
The administration continues to monitor the conditions closely, and further decisions regarding school operations will be taken based on the weather outlook.
